The Nordic Agroecology Education and Research Network aims to promote sustainable farming practices and educate future agroecologists. This vision is supported by three core objectives focused on developing and strengthening education, research, and career pathways for students:

● Mission 1: Tap into shared Nordic challenges to develop context-appropriate applications of agroecology principles and develop our own Nordic Agroecology pathway.
● Mission 2: Break down institutional and national silos to build a community, encourage peer support, and collective strength among future practitioners and researchers.
● Mission 3: Increase visibility and accessibility of agroecology teaching. Our vision guides everything we do. And we aim to become a leading player in sustainable development research and implementation.

We want to advance the theoretical foundations of agroecological research while also supporting its practical application, inspiring a new generation of agroecological researchers, practitioners, managers, and entrepreneurs.

LIVING LAB & LIGHTHOUSE

We are establishing a permanent living lab hub and lighthouse in collaboration with Mossagården, an organic farm, social hub, and local food marketing entrepreneur. An initiative that will serve as a model for innovation, education, and community engagement in sustainable food systems. The journey toward sustainable food systems requires collective effort. Whether you are a researcher, farmer, policymaker, or industry leader, we invite you to collaborate with us.
